USS MIDWAY
Airwing Restoration

This site contains information about our volunteers, their aircraft restoration activities, and the status of each of our projects and the aircraft exhibits on the Midway.  The restoration group's mission is to restore and maintain exhibit aircraft and related items for display on the USS Midway Museum. Our restoration facility is located on Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA.  Our staff is comprised of volunteers and a small number of USS Midway Museum paid employees, many of whom were involved in aviation maintenance when they were on active duty with the U.S. Navy and other services.  Some of them served in USS Midway or embarked units.  We also have volunteers aboard the Midway to maintain the aircraft and equipment in exhibit quality condition.

Our location at NAS North Island is not open to the public, but the information and photographs in this site will inform you about our activities and progress.  It is our goal to update this site at least weekly.  Please use the links above, or the drop-down list below, to begin your cruise through this web site.
